Mr Mark Wevill specialises in cataract and refractive surgery (to correct focus errors of the eyes). He has done over 6000 cataract procedures and over 20 000 laser vision correction treatments. He has written textbook chapters, has been invited to give presentations at more than 20 international eye surgery conferences and has also done charitable medical work in South Africa and Uganda.

Mr Mark Wevill specialises in cataract and refractive surgery (to correct focus errors of the eyes). He completed his Ophthalmic Surgery training at the University of Cape Town, then after undergoing further assessment, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Ophthalmology. He has been doing cataract surgery since 1991 and laser eye surgery to correct focus errors of the eyes since 1996. He has now done 20 000 treatments to correct focus errors of the eyes and has experience in a wide range of refractive surgery techniques. Mr. Wevill has also completed a diploma in Refractive surgery from the University of Ulster and was awarded the Certificate in Laser Refractive Surgery from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

Mr Wevill has written chapters in 7 textbooks that other surgeons refer to, has written scientific articles and has been invited to give presentations to other eye surgeons at more than 20 international eye surgery conferences. He has also done charitable medical work in South Africa and Uganda and is a visiting lecturer for the School of Life and Health Sciences at Aston University, Birmingham.
